Landed today at Rainbow Bridge. I went by car around 6:00pm.
It took 5 min at the American border (they seemed to be very familiar with the procedure) and around 15 min at the Canadian border. They were all very friendly and the full landing process went really smooth. The only problem was the storm I got on my way home.

I wish you all receive very soon your PR.

hi,
what if someone applies for BOWP and during the process they get the PR approval? how to handle such a case considering there is fee to be refunded? I just wanna know before moving ahead with the BOWP. ty

Hi maria. Dont worry. Sometime they donot scan the post becuase where we send the passport is government office and they got many mail each day there. One of my friend had same situation like u and he gone through everything and at last they tracked down and said it already delieverd.he also had very hard time with canada post.still ufollow up with them.

Maria,

I have recently had a problem with Canada Post when my passport and CoPR were sent from CIC. Canada Post sent them to other city. I would suggest you calling Canada Post (inside of Canada: 1-866-607-6301; outside of Canada: 416-979-3033) and explain the situation. They are very sensitive if you tell them that it is your passport. In my case they tracked down the envelop and I received it with only one day of delay. But I called them maybe 5-6 x in two days just to be sure they were trying to solve the situation.

Many days without coming to the forum but happy to see so many people landing already ;D

I had to wait for my new passport to come from my country and I just sent the scanned copies that CIC requested. So hopefully that will be it and I'll get my Ready for Visa email soon.

My current permit expires in May and I don't want to apply for an extension. So much money...

Anyone still waiting for news after MR? My timelines are on the left.

If you apply online, you can withdraw the application easily and the refund process is really simple.

They only refund if u withdraw before they process the application : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=613&top=4

Refund Instructions : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=619&top=4

Hi everybody,

I am an August 11 applicant and had been getting more and more nervous as I had heard nothing from CIC after the confirmation of upfront medicals. This morning I got the RPRF request email!!!!!!!

Last time I talked to CIC on the phone two weeks ago the agent said that it didn't look like I was on a second review (though couldn't confirm it) but that they were waiting for some background check documents (?) from my country. So I'm assuming that the delay in my application was perhaps due to the delays happening between governmental communications...

I know that there are still a few of you waiting for the next step; please don't think of the worst as apparently sometimes delays can occur from many reasons that are not visible to us "common folk". Hope everybody gets good news soon and congratulations to the ones who already landed.

This forum has been so incredibly good to me at times, a place I can speak about things like AOR's and extending BOWP's and waiting for RPRF's, all abstract things to some degree to people around me in real life. Thank you all!

Hi guys I've just got this ....this is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing; you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose.

Has your family composition or personal circumstances changed since our last correspondence?

· Marriage or common-law union, divorce, annulment, legal separation or death of the sponsor, principal applicant or any accompanying family member;

· Birth or adoption of a child, including grandchildren born to dependent children;

· You or any of your family members being charged or convicted of a criminal offence.

If any of these conditions apply, you are required to inform our office immediately. If available, please include in your email the evidence that supports the change and send it to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca

Right of Permanent Residence Fee

We wish to remind you at this time that your Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) is outstanding. You must pay this fee before a permanent resident visa can be issued. The RPRF must be paid once for yourself as a principal applicant and once for your spouse or common law partner, if you have one.

If you delay the payment of the RPRF, your security or medical results may expire, which would delay the issuance of your visas. We therefore encourage you to pay the RPRF as soon as possible

Guys is this the RPRF request? they are still asking for more information about my personal situation....

Thanks all for the help and support provided.. Finally everything completed.. Details are on the left side..

Cheers!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
