If the passport got renewed after application sent to CIC..... .... For stamping, do we need to send them both current passport and old passport... Because indian consulate staple current and old passport together...

Hi CanadaCECPR,

Congrats!!!

Yes you can get your passport stamped from Canada and she can do it from India.
1. You will have to send mail to CIC Ottawa (mail id will be in PPR) stating that you need a change in Visa office for her and letting them know that you will be sending yours here.
2. Take your Passport, enclose mail you have received from CIC for PPR, the mail sent to CIC amd also Explanation letter and send it to CIC OTTTAWA PR address
3. It will take less than or equal to 20 days for CIC to respond for change in Visa office for your spouse and she can send her passport as like you.
4. Until her Visa is stamped, please do not land from your end.
5. After you landing she can land anytime and before the max given by CIC

Thanks Riverrdale for update, some has told me that your dependent needs to land within one month or primary applicant landing (but by you explanation this not seems to be the case, thanks for that)

Do i need to wait (to submit my passport) for reply for wife Visa office change, or i can go ahead and do right a way.

Hi,

Any idea how long it takes to get the passport back? I sent mine last week, hoping to get it back in time for my planned US trip in the last week of March. Hoping to land then.

Thanks

Have you been to other countries besides Canada and your home-country, and stayed for more than 6 months? If so, then you will need to get PCC for that country as well.

Not really, since my age of 18, my home country and Canada are the only places that I have stayed for 6+ months.

The elephant has passed just the tail remains ;D ;D ;D .Do not b disheartened . Just get your PCC asap .You are going to b a permanent resident soon.

Thanks for the encouragement. I already asked my parents to send the PCC to me, plus the fingerprints has already submitted to RCMP today. Hopefully I can submit all required docs to CIC by the end of this month.

It means they received the payment correctly and its linked with your file now.

Thank you for the answer!

I just emailed CIC to let them know I am waiting for my new passport to arrive.

There's no sense in sending the copies of the current one because they already have it. They seem to just want to have a passport that's valid for at least six months.

Anyways, the wait continue :'(

Hi there
First time posting here
Hubby and I are 12th of August 2014 applicants, and up until this January 2016 we had no movement what so ever. Until they requested the police records and we also had the "great email" of please pay your RPRF, which we happily did, only to find out somebody didnt know what they were doing up there.

Up until 24th of February 2016, Husband had a Visitors Visa and I had a work Visa since Feb 2013, which of cause is expired now, and beginning of January they received an visitor visa application for an extension for our stay here, so we can tie over our time til we receive our PR. So at the moment we are under applied Status here nothing else.

My Question is, our Immigrantion Officer told us then if for some reason the Visitor Visa falls through it would effect our PR, how so?
Its the first time i heard of it.
Many thanks

It will all depends for which kind of reason your visitor visa would be refused : If it's a lack of fund or a signature/document missing, no, it will not affect your PR. if it get refused because of misrepresentation, criminal or security reason, yeah definitely.

you worry too much, everything is gonna be fine.

I have 2 questions for you :

are you applying for a visitor VISA or RECORD ?

why you didn't apply for a BOWP and a SOWP ?

Thanks yeah i know, i tend to worry a bit to much sometimes.
Lack of Funds def not, we can support our self very well. Criminal or Security reasons shouldnt be any, as we already done a security screening, when we got posted to Canada. And there wasnt any problems otherwise we would have never got this Posting.
whats the difference between a visitors visa and a RECORD
same whats a BOWP, SOWP?
Thanks
