I hear ya, my life has been on hold for 2 years now. I can't even get eTA visa to visit Canada it says "The cic.gc.ca website is experiencing delays. We are working to resolve this issue. Thank you for your patience." I applied 2 weeks ago, it's just travel authorization to visit.

Hi Corp,

CIC Agent is saying that I can work for any employer only till 3-Jun-2016. Since my Closed permit is way beyond 4 month expiry from now, I can't apply for another BOWP until 6-Jul-2016.

They are not sure if I can work soon after me applying for BOWP by 6-Jul-2016 till 6-Nov-2016.

Please help on this if anyone know the details.

BOWP and Closed WP work independently.

You can apply BOWP now as you are eligible for extending(becoz 4 month or less).

As your company will not extend your closed wok permit as they dont want to you here as contract is ending.

So no worries and extend your BOWP if you think your PR will not complete till 3-june

I have BOWP till 3-Jun-2016
In the meantime last year my current employer did ITC -WP meaning Closed permit which was applied in Jul to have it till 10-Oct-2016. But it got approved only by 5-Nov-2016. I was expecting CIC to give that permit till 10-Oct-2016. But CIC gave it till 6-Nov-2016 which is greater than BOWP permit 3-Jun-2016.

I'm still working with the same employer till now and soon my assignment is get finished by 1-May-2016. I was thinking to apply for BOWP which is ending by 3-Jun-2016 but I have Closed permit greater than BOWP will I be eligible to apply for BOWP?

Any information on this will help me to decide on my next steps.

as you see most august applications are getting processed. you might be lucky and have yours completed before June, there are 3 months left.

I suggest you wait till May before you apply for a new BOWP. Hopefully by then you get the decision made. and will be a matter of weeks for you to land,

as long as you CIC receives your application before your current BOWP expires you are safe to stay and work in Canada for any employer under same conditions of your current BOWP under the implied Status

with the closed work permit you can stay in Canada but not work to any new employer.

I still didn't hear from cic for MR. I'm an Aug 27 applicant. My gcms notes says under: Application assignment due by March 2016 . Eligibility : not started. Security: not started. Criminality : In Progress.

Got my notes 6 days ago and requested Jan 22. Should I be worried????????? :/
I submitted my rcmp clearance back when I submitted in 2014.

I am August 28 and have heard nothing as well!

yes you have an option to stamp it once you get COPR. you need to send request to change visa office for stamping purpose after visa confirmation email.

Same for me, I ordered notes on JAN 20, haven't received yet!
