once you get your passport back, you are not PR yet.

you have to leave the country and renter Canada to do your landing.
you can leave as long as you want as soon as u return before the date of the visa expires,

upon your return u do the landing,

Well Thanks for this information, Can you tell how long is it going take after I submit my passport?

Here is my case.
We received your application for permanent residence on August 7, 2014.
We started processing your application on October 29, 2014.
Medical results have been received.(June 20th)
And they also asked my police clearance certificate from Germany that where I did my master and T4 from 2014 on June 20th, i have sent them those after 3 weeks. after that i did not hear anything.
However I see people from Aug starting to get PPR, thats really cheering me up

I assume you did the medical upfront.

its normal that files have different speeds, each person has different circumstances/ background/ documents submitted.

soon it will be your turn, think of it with every file completed that's one less file gone from your way

APR means Application for Permanent Residence, which is the reason why you can have a BOWP

Medical done : 20th May 2015

Thats what I'm worried about. They called after MR and "medical results have been received" in ECAS.. Don't know what kind of doubt they might have ?

Hi guys, I might be asking a stupid question, but how long does it normally take after submitting medical forms and what is next step?

My situation is applied on 8/Sep/2014, got a request for medical examination yesterday (17/Feb/2016).
My work permit expires on March 23rd. Should I apply for work permit renewal or there is a chance to get permanent residency before March 23?
