So its better to apply under Express Entry now, I cant wait facking anymore and I cant tolerate facking CIC non-sense.

Hi,

I have been consulting the forum for a while and specially this thread and the old one about August 2014 CEC applicants. I thought it was fair to share some new information. I just got calling CIC. They told me they just got some information today from the office who process all the CEC applications and they told them to updated the website's processing times from 14 months to 18 months. So it seems we are gonna have to wait until next year.

18 months from the AOR Received or Application recieved??

Application received, thats what they told me when I asked them that same question.

I just called and the guy denied that - however, if the 14 months was true then I'd already have PR!!!

the girl this morning was really nice.
When I called I just said my application was already taking longer than what it says on the website, and she asked me before anything what category are applying for? I said it was CEC, and she said: ok, wait a minute because we just got information about this from their office. then she told me about the extra four months and that If I dont hear nothing from them after february to call again.

I guess they will updating the website with this change during this week.

I called this morning nobody said anything to me ! don't know whats going on

I just got off the phone and they didn't talk anything about the 18 months timeline. Instead, he opened my file and gave the below status info which has slight change since May 2015. Earlier my eligibility status was "Review required" (as I didn't have employment letter from my company), but now it is "In progress". He also told that my file was last updated on late Oct 2015. May be that is when they changed the eligibility status and updated in ECAS as "Medical results have been received" (did a upfront on Aug 2015). Looks like they did some work on late Oct but the speed is terribly slow. The agent over the phone couldn't confirm when my application would be finalized.

Eligibility: In progress
Security: Not started
Criminality: In progress

when i called last month when my 14 months were over the agent said theres nothing wrong with the file its still in the criminality and background check phase and we dont knwo how long that takes( covering for their bull..) anyway said to check back with them after three months if i dont hear anything on my app but i will. so im guessing their instructions are to tell us that it might take another 3 months and thats how they are coming up with the 18 months thing.. anyway they havent even sent me a medical request yet so by the time i get that and all the processing crap it will be atleast another 3 months.

There is no way customer care agent can provide or change the timelines/processing time.

However, no much progress is there, thats the worry point. Not sure who is the right person to give exact information or status on our application.

whosoever is saying process time is changing then ask the agent where is the proof of the change.

Read an article on what canadian immigration ministry is facing... this is a good read

now i realize, there was a reason why liberals did not come to power for last ten years.

at least, temporary foreign workers' contribution was getting some credit while conservatives were there.

don't know what's in plate for us next. someone really needs to tell these ppl that there are cec applicants from 2014 "who applied under the rules in force and were eligible", and are being neglected. don't see many changes coming to EE though.

Application submitted 14 aug 2014
Aor 19 nov 2014
Rcmp request feb 2015 (last i heard from them)

Got notes today and 2 months back. No change. Criminality in progress. Nothing else started. Due date on my notes for criminality eligibility security everything is 19 nov 2015 which is exactly a year from AOR. Lets see what thats about or just something they will ignore.
