guys there is an article in the main thread ... pls read it it tells u how to appeal against the delays by cic ... it goes back to 2012 but provides information ... it tells how they speeded up FSWP after they werent processing it according to timelines ... i have seen august 2014 FSWP get processed more earlier and august 2014 cec is still lagging far behind :(

Hi August 8 applicant here

First time to follow up to cic yesterday and they told me that my application is way beyond the processing time and by this time there should be a result, everything on my file is complete and akcnowledged that the requested docuemnts was received also. She told me she would message the visa officer handling my file and expect an update next week.

I hope everything turns out to be positive before the week ends because im planning to apply for my extension of BOWP.

Hello,

do you know when your eligibility and security checks had started? Because I called cic a few days ago( I am a late august applicant) and they told me that I have to wait and that the criminality check takes a long time to complete.
Thank you.

No medical request until now

Application received - August 8, 2014
AOR - October 8, 2014
T4 & NOA Request - July 2, 2015

Just received my GCMS notes:

File Status: Open

Criminality: In progress

Due date: 05 December 2015

That's it after almost 1 year of AOR received :-X. My timeline is on left. Thanks

Does anyone know, when i get my confirmation of PR, and present my self to the border assuming am living out of the country, do i have to come with my dependant(my common law whos in my application as dependant) for both of us to get the PR the same time. Is it possible that she comes later alone to get hers? Or even later with me. Or can i get it for her too?

Thanks in advance for any info on the matter.

Hi ,

Did you applied by yourself or by lawyer ?

So i just spoke to two lawyers and and emailed cic and they all told me that i cant do an upfront medical as thats only for spousal class. Is that true?? Has anyone who appled under cec on his own do an upfront and get the pr yet??

You can do it. It shows up perfectly fine in ECAS. It just takes a while. Mine took 3 months until it showed up. Even on CIC's website somewhere it says that you can do it upfront.

"...the Medical Report form (IMM 1017E), if you do not undergo an up-front medical exam. The visa office will send you this form."

Read an article on what canadian immigration ministry is facing... this is a good read

What is the best way/time to get hold of an agent? When ever I call. it always says "We are currently experiencing high volume of calls...." and it never transfer to any agent.

Hi,

I have been consulting the forum for a while and specially this thread and the old one about August 2014 CEC applicants. I thought it was fair to share some new information. I just got calling CIC. They told me they just got some information today from the office who process all the CEC applications and they told them to updated the website's processing times from 14 months to 18 months. So it seems we are gonna have to wait until next year.
