I called cic and nothing has changed for late august applicants. Just the same as 3 months ago. they are still waiting for the criminality checks to be completed. it is probably not worth to ask for notes right now, maybe next month.

Do we have to update the CIC PR application once we receive BOWP? how much time they take to acknowledge or update the application with this information?

Here's what I do ... whenever I get something new that might be important to immigration, I simply scan it and send it to them - like your BOWP for instance. As simple as that. It shows them where you're at. Since you have to submit every change of work conditions anyway, I would submit my BOWP right away.

BOWP is also issued by CIC , Dont they share the information within CIC, I dont think its necessary.

The response was that they didn't know, but there was nothing to worry about because there are so many other applicants in the same situation!

Still no news, almost lost patience . can't focus on work in hand, forced to think about another path for my future. however holding little hope for CeC application make me hesitate to do anything else.

Feel the same .... Can't think straight. Affecting everything in my life - sounds dramatic but true.
I didn't get a work permit extension so have stayed on as visitor status.
Thought this was going to be done by summer ... Gone through my savings, no medical - no sign of PPR. Work now can't keep my job open any longer.
So also weighing up options back in UK.

Don't think there's any other 'service' that you would pay for - and yet have no transparency, honesty - commitment to a timeline. Such a shame to feel so demoralized.

Feel even worth, no where to go before the results coming out. I have even two school-aged kids, suffering with me. Feel so stupid have bene trusting CIC ...

Hi permanent_res1, I don't think you have to send BOWP to CIC. They get all the updates from you Unique Client ID No, which remains same from the time you get your first permit.

SamSamSam is correct. You can see it in GCMS notes which shows from the first time you got your work permit.

How can I get my GCMS Notes?

1. Visit https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en
2. Scroll down and check the box "I have read, understood and agree with the above Privacy Notice." and Submit.
3. Select CIC from the drop down. (first field)
4. Select Individual/Corportation present in Canada (Second drop down)
5. Fill in your details (Self explanatory)
6. Select Member of public for "Select the category that best describes you"
7. select "E-mail" for "How would you prefer to receive the requested records" ( choose the mode you are comfortable with)
8. Continue to next page.
9. You dont need to attach any additional documents, unless you want to prove something.
10. Select Privacy Act in next page
11. Submit the final request. Once you submitted the request, wait for one month.

Also you have to select case files in one of the drop down box.

2. Accept and Continue
3. Choose as below:
Department > CIC
Eligible > Indivi / Corp currently present in Canada
Fill up others (self-explanatory)
On your own behalf > Yes
Category > Member of the Public
Like to receive > E-mail
4. Click Continue
5. Choose as below:
Type of Info > Privacy Act > Continue
Type of records > Case Files
Fill others (self-explanatory)
Type of information > Notes in Electronic File
File Type > Immigration file: permanent residence / Application for Permanent Resident Card
Continue
6. Review all your inputs and Submit.

You will receive an email on the email provided. Hope this helps.

I am totally fed up of waiting around for some sort of update from CIC. I think I will have to apply for my BOWP as a backup. Would some one be able to share and let me know the steps for applying a BOWP?

Also my spouse had to go back and join her job in India as because of no PR her job did not
Transfer to Canada. How do I apply for
Her BOWP?

PLEASE GUIDE!!!!
