What passport fees are you referring to? The only fee we have to pay after the initial application fee is the RFPR (Right of permanent residence) fee as far as I'm aware?Sku2014 said:If I pay the passport fees in advance, does anyone know which email I'd have to use to send the receipt to?
No progress has been made since May 2015 (that's when they started my eligibility and sent for review) and thought of paying the passport fee anyway. Any comments?
Yes, you're right. I was actually referring to RFPR.joolery said:What passport fees are you referring to? The only fee we have to pay after the initial application fee is the RFPR (Right of permanent residence) fee as far as I'm aware?
Even February sounds early..Harry0001 said:I called CIC today. The agent told me that all the August (2014) applications must be finalized by the end of February 2016. The processing time has been increased to 18 months, however it has not been updated on CIC website.
Hope for the best and lets c if we get any good news from CIC in December... Impatiently waiting for MR...
hahah thats true feb now sounds like its around the corner loljonahyoo said:Even February sounds early..
tbh, I expect it to be done by May~June.
Well, you guys know what the CIC is.
hey i got my notes last week.. were pretty much the same as last month.. so basically they still hadnt touched my file all of last month. security in progress and criminality eligibility not started.. i also havent given an upfront medical so im still waiting on that. judging from what all were reading on other threads and the lawyers talking the processing time would have increased whether they have chanegd it on the website or not.. from what i can sense our applications will start to complete around february.. so im hoping to see some updates in around end of december.. if they are on track of the 18 month processing time.andy103 said:hey ushie88 when was the last time u ordered notes and what was the thing that was complete out of security, criminality and eligibilty ???

Where to send it i guess to the email address stated above. That is generally the only address of communication.teb said:Hi Sku2014
I use this email to communicate with the CIC. CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca
I suggest you do not pay the fee yet. if you pay it earlier that wont speed up the application significantly. Few people did their medical upfront but still the government did not examine the results t yet as the checks are not yet completed.
but if you wait until you receive there requested for medical and fee, that will give you an indication on where they are at with your application. it is kind of a confirmation that all previous phases are done.
Note that every time they send a request, they give you instructions what you shall do and how to reply, I am not sure if they want the fee payment receipt send to the email mentioned above or there is another email that I am not aware of.
you can always call cic at 1-888-242-2100 and ask.
That's my advice, then it is up to you,
Cheers
Thank you teb and jamious0 for your suggestion. Sounds like it's better to wait and I'll do that.jamious0 said:Where to send it i guess to the email address stated above. That is generally the only address of communication.
But I second the above opinion too! I got an MR in May, did the exams, and the results where reviewed-set to passed like the next day after they recieved it. Nothing after that. So the only time u save its probably a the few days-a week until u set and do the exam. For RFPF u probably save 2-3 days until money is tranfsered. So maybe waiting to get an MR and RFPF request its indication that they have opened ur file and start working on it. Once they start working on it,things go fast, especially if deadlines are passed! If its time to get ur PR u can get simultaneous requests for everything. Happened to few friends who applied in May/June.
