Guys need a suggestion; if I should stay with OLD CEC application(Aug 27th) or proceed with EE(Received ITA - 1058 points with PNP nomination)
My Work Permit expires on July 8th 2016. I have not received MR yet.
In both cases. I need to apply for BOWP, but the question is, under which method I want to apply for BOWP and is it worth to proceed with EE after waiting for 13 months and how many more months it is going to take under old cec after I get MR.

PS: PNP nomination expires in June

If paying the processing fee 550 again is not matter to you , proceed with EE. hopefully you will get ur PR within 4-6 months .
No one will be able to predict the movement of old CEC files .
And with regards to ur BOwp , wait till the last week of its expiry and then apply. By the time they process ur bowp application u might get ur PR(if applied in EE) and the u can cancel ur bowp application.

Hi iam a sep applicant recently received an email from cic to submit my PCC from India. They requested me eventhough i submitted along with the package.

The problem is my BOWP was expired lastweek and i applied for another one last year. So currently i am under implied status. I called the cic call center, but their response was not welcoming. I am in saskatchewan now.

Now I heard someone in this forum mentioned earlier that one can get PCC from india through their family members apply on their behalf... Kindly help me :)

Hi,

I was the one who mentioned that you can ask your parents to apply for PCC on your behalf and get one.
I got my PCC last week , I had asked my mother to apply who is in India and I received acknowledgement from CIC that they have received my PCC and its been added to my file.
However, I believe you can take a copy of the pdf which proves that you've submitted BOWP and and the page on CIC website which states what is implied status and the CIC email that requests you to submit PCC and go to BLS India and apply. You might have to argue with those guys but they should be able to do it.

Any Aug last week applicants still waiting for MR's ?
How many of you applied for GCMS recently and still waiting for MR's ?
I applied for GCMS notes in mid December. Still no notes, MR etc :/
Aug 27th app

Aug 22nd app. Still waiting MR. Have not applied for notes.

Im surprised with CIC's exceptional email for acknowledgement of my PCC and Schedule A by email , looks like things are really improving:

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your email. I confirm the receipt of your Indian Police Certificates for yourself and your spouse as well as your Schedule A. I have updated your file accordingly. An Officer will be in touch should we require further information on this matter.

Do you guys know how long approximately does it take to get your passport back from a withdrawn application? And also what's the legal status in that period?

I mean, let's say I apply to BOWP or a Work Permit Extension, and then I get the Passport Request in my PR process, but my passport is at CIC with the BOWP/WP application.

If I withdraw/cancel the BOWP so I get my passport back, how long does that take? Do we lose status in that period of time?

Why did you send the passport for BOWP ? BOWP need s a copy of the passport and not the original one!

Contact CIC immediately as based on current processing times, CIC is taking approx 4months+ to process BOWP's

you don't need to send the original passport when u apply to BOWP, a copy is sufficient.

see the CIC website for more details

Yes then can.. but if you can get from Indian Consulate in Canada then that will be more valid.

Its the same, Initially the PCC i submitted with my application, I asked my parents in India to get it and send, last week I sent a new PCC , that also my parents got it in india and sent.

If you are from Delhi, You can apply everything online and they will email you the PCC, they dont issue any more on paper PCC's

Ohhh I see... no I haven't applied to any yet. I didn't know you didn't need your passport for BOWP's. I am considering an extension of my current open work permit instead because my husband is still studying.

But for extension of work permits and study permits, you do need to submit your passport -as per my understanding-. So that's why I was wondering what would happen if I submit my passport for extension of my work permit and then I get the Ready for Visa for my PR.

Is the any body got medical request for the NOC 4163 yet?

Thanks!
