I have never been asked for RCMP.goalkb said:you guys might be asked for RCMP again. See in june thread the long waited applicants are asked for new RCMP as last one is expired.
I may be wrong.

Do they ask it randomly?
On a positive note, whenever I sent additional documents (even not on request), I lately also got a response that the file had been received and added to my application. This is a good sign that there is finally enough respect to respond to us. Before, I never received anything whenever I wanted to update my information.torcan14 said:Hello All,

but now i think they are asking to get them mailed by rcmp..correct me if i m wrong?BCbarbie said:is there an option to get RCMP certificate without CIC asking for it?
I contacted my local rcmp detachment and they said they can't do fingerprints for me without seeing request from CIC. Anyone else experienced the same?
I'm really hoping to have the certificate ready. I won't submit it to CIC without them asking, but since it takes about 3 weeks time to obtain the certificate, I think it's a good idea to have it ready just in case they ask for it.
It can be mailed from RCMP or from applicant I think. Based on the comment from another member on this forum, they prefer the certificate to be mailed directly from RCMP, but if it's mailed to you, you can mail it to Ottawa yourself. They will provide you with an address you can mail it to.vik302 said:but now i think they are asking to get them mailed by rcmp..correct me if i m wrong?
Dont rush and get everything without CIC asking for it. Its based on what country you are from I guess. There have been applicants that got Their PR's and never got an RCMP request, moreover if the RCMP office says they cant do without CIC asking for it, then wait and do it when you get it. Anyways even if we send the documents the same day when CIC requests, they still go with their own pace.BCbarbie said:is there an option to get RCMP certificate without CIC asking for it?

Thanks for your comment. I guess I'll just have to wait then.apardhamija said:Dont rush and get everything without CIC asking for it. Its based on what country you are from I guess.
