All my documents were Canadian - diploma, work experience, etc. I didn't need to do background checks from other countries and did not have any foreign work experience/bank accounts/debt. I also have almost nonexistent travel history (Canada/home country/2 short trips outside those two). It's also for a single applicant. So it should have been easy to check, that's all I can think of.



Sorry, hopefully they will do it ASAP though.

There's no need to worry. You recently applied. If they need anything additional from you they will let you know via email and your online account. Early stages yet. From my experience I would like to help you to avoid the stress that the application process can cause. Don't worry when there is no need to.

Similar situation as other guy, only stayed in Canada since 18, all Canadian work experience/degree, very little travel history.

No I didnt pre-submit a police check, biometrics were also not required.
