CEC Applications that have gone over 15 months

Just hit month 15 today.

AOR May 2021, RPRF Jan 2022.

wanted to know if there are any others in the same boat and maybe make a document. Now that they are accepting new CEC entries it would be a good way to keep track of how long we have to wait especially when we start seeing people who applied in July 2022 start getting their pr's within 2-3 months and we're still having to wait

If I may ask, how many years of Canadian work experience? Time line please.

I’m in the same boat. I have been outside Canada since 2020. I applied for CEC November 2021 but my application was cancelled due to incomplete document such the Ecuador’s police certificate translation . Once I tried to reapply my profile no longer qualify for CEC but only FSW. My CRS score is 462, and Canadian work experience is from 2018 oct to 2019 dec. sigh

I had one year of work experience and have been outside Canada since 2019.

AOR March 2020. Biometrics completed June 2020. Medicals expired but were extended to June this year, when they expired again.

And you still qualify under CEC?

I’m just so annoyed with myself for making such an impulsive decision. I rushed back home upon hearing that my late dad was down with a stroke in February 2020. Ever since then life has been getting in my way to return.

If only I thought things through. I returning back didn’t even prolong my dads life. Now I ask myself what was the point of coming back home? God really needs to intervene. Life right now is something else. Anyway, I will be optimistic regardless.

They did not give you any chance to obtain the correct document and outright cancelled it?

That seems odd as I know people inland CEC who applied in October 2021 and received PR by Feb 2022. Did you try to get GCMS notes for your application or tried to contact IRCC?

yes, 5x already. Still same status shown on all GCMS notes after 26 months. They said app is in order and no action required. But they cannot issue BOWP until our PR is eligibility passed - that's why it is taking 10 months now and still no decision.

I never thought immigration process in Canada would be a nightmare.

Hey guys,
Can someone help me confirm what I thought happened to our CEC app?

Back in November 3, 2020, IRCC asked for new police certificates. It is the same date showing on my GCMS notes where R10 completeness check was set to in progress.

On February 15, 2022, my work permit expired. Coincidentally, it is the same date they updated my file from R10 to CEC.

Does that mean that IRCC really let our CEC application sit there in queue for 15 months?
And the processing time for our CEC application only just started last Feb 15, 2022?

1) if you can work even though the decision on your BOWP isn't out.
2) And also, must your PGWP be valid before you apply for BOWP?
3) can someone with a co-op work permit apply for a BOWP??

1) Yes, as long as you apply before your current work permit expires.
2) You need to be holding a valid work permit at the time you apply for the BOWP. It can be any kind of work permit.
3) No. This person is classified a as a student and not a work permit holder.

But what can one do because I went back to school after my PGWP expired and my course had co-op work permit which both co-op work permit and study permit is still valid.
Again, what do you think about Temporary work permit?? Can I apply for that instead??

Unfortunatley you don't qualify for a second PGWP.

You can apply for a closed work permit if you can secure a job offer and approved LMIA from an employer in Canada.
