CEC application processing times

Hi guys,

I submitted by CEC application via express entry on April 27, 2017. I have not received a decision yet. I know I should not compare my case with others, but everyone I know has had their application processed in under 3 months! They have all received passport requests. It will be 4 months since I submitted my application! Has anyone faced this issue? Has anyone's application taken more than 4 months to process? I'm freaking out! Thanks

it just varies application to application. Don't worry, until 6 months have passed. then you call CIC and ask them about your application.

I submitted my CEC application on April 26 and got passport request on August 24. Check your email, because they send passport request to my email.My online application did not change at all.I hope you will get it soon!

i heard it usually takes up to 2 months, mine is 2 months 4 days so far since i submitted my application.

You are currently within the time frame. It has been taking an average of 2 months for medicals to clear for CEC applicants.

Did you not get updates when your medicals were passed or when background checks started??

HI Guys,
I had submitted my PR application under "Express entry" on August 27, 2017. I had applied for police verification from FBI on June 6 and I have still not received the police report. When I submitted my application, I only submitted the scanned copy of the receipt that was provided when I took my fingerprint for FBI police verification. Do you know how long it will take for me to get my FBI police reports? When I try to follow-up on that they are asking for some #(DCN) which I do not have and they are unable to find my record with the name. Is there a way by which I can follow up on the status of the FBI reports. Is there a faster way to get the reports. Please let me know. Thanks

There is no faster way to get it. Sometimes if you call, your file ends up on the top, but that's about it. If they can't find it, that doesn't help.

To be safe, you might want to consider submitting a new application. This time, save a copy of the application form (DCN is on the form), send it via courier and get proof of delivery.

Which will be the form where can I find the DCN before submitting next time.
With further delay in getting the FBI police reports, will there be a problem with my PR application. Is there a deadline by when cic will expect to see the FBI reports. Please advise. Thanks

Have you called them? Also have tried ordering GCMS notes?

I can't believe this I submitted my application September 10th and My medical passed today. It says that they are reviewing the background or something. In the mean time I uploaded my medical to Regular PNP PR as well. Still no update there

I submitted my CEC inland EE aplication on 16 june 2017. I recieved an email on 17 August that there is an update. Since then it says that they are reviewing the results of my medical exam. Its already more than 3 months. I am worried bcoz i have a medical history. But my lawyer told me that if cic wanted me to do another medical exam they would have asked with first update. Can someone help....
