CEC Application in Progress - Planning to get married in between.

Hello Guys, I applied for CEC in March, I have received my AOR number last month. I'm in a long distance relationship from past 4-5 years, she is in India. Now, we want to take this relationship further and get married in November. I want to apply for her PR as well as want to see her with me in Canada ASAP.

Here's a list of questions that I have:
- Will getting married while CEC application in progress is a good idea?
- What would be better, getting married now or after getting my PR?
- I know if we get married in between, I have to notify CIC and send additional forms to add her to my application. Would it delay my PR? Would it affect my PR if we assume she will get a police clearance certificate and clear medical.
- Is there anything that I should consider when I get married?
- I have numerous evidences that we are in a relationship and we'll get pictures from all the events, honeymoon pictures, and other stuff. Is this necessary if I file under CEC?

FIRST OF ALL CONGRATS FOR GETTING MARRIED ITS BEST THING IN WORLD

-Its a great idea. if you get married while CEC is in progress. you can expect delay of max 2-3 month depending upon when you will inform CEC and add your spouse
- What would be better, getting married now or after getting my PR?
NOW, NOW, NOW....Because if you get married after PR. Then your spouse has to wait 15 months for PR. If you add her during CEC Application then she can come to canada on visitor visa and can get PR with you.

yes, dont spend too much money on it. My parents made me spend my 2 year saving. Gosh punjabis

Good to have all those. But, they will only ask if they have doubt

I have a small follow up question. We're planning to get married in November, and I'm expecting my medical request in Late October/November as well. How would that be taken care of? Can I add my spouse to my PR application or is that too late?

You can give your medicals if you get it in October or november. After medicals just inform them that you are planning to get marry in November, they will put hold on ur application. After that get your wife to canada on visitor visa and add her to your file.

I am not sure though if you can use the same medicals which ur wife will go through for Visitor visa. But thats a far story. Any one has any advice on it?
