CEC applicants with LMIA, connect here...

On a different thread, someone suggested having a thread specific to CEC-LMIA applications.
I took the liberty of starting this one. Hope that's ok.

It seems like these applications are now taking longer than they once did (on average), and certainly longer to CEC-PNP applications.
Hopefully this can be a thread for CEC-LMIA applicants to connect and share their timelines, as well as find about the experience of other applicants without having to sift through multiple threads.

Wow! That's a really bad timeline

Have you been in touch to ask for any updates, or ordered GCMS notes?
In other words, do you have any clues as to what might be holding up your application?

hey...just to bump the tread. My app was updated on Friday...hoping for some good news this week. Getting close to 7 month mark....Good luck to everyone!!!

Just checked MyCIC and it said 'updated' - background check has gone from 'not needed' to 'in progress'!!! :-X I know it maybe a while before PPR email but v excited as there has been no movement on my account since January. Didn't receive any ghost email, usually check my account every couple of days so not sure the exact date it changed.
