Hello all forum members.

I was going through the forum and couldn't find a thread exclusively discussing CEC applicants who are working on PGWP in LMIA exempt job and applied without any provincial nomination. We can gather here and discuss various aspects of our application as it is a bit different than other applications. We can share timelines and helps each others by sharing our knowledge about the process.

You are more than welcome here. I am looking to connect with applicants like me who are on PGWP, no lmia, no pnp, no dependents, no POFs etc. Simple and straight applications. I want to get some insight into the process from others experiences

Hi There,

I am in the same boat (well almost) -
CEC (Inland),
no LMIA,
no Provincial Nomination via EE,
Single Applicant,
Did not claim any points for foreign work experience (although I have ~4 years - but my employer refused to furnish letters in the prescribed format), >1 year Canadian work experience,
No ECA (Since I did my Masters in Canada)

I do have a provincial nominee certificate via the OINP Master's Stream that I will use in case EE doesn't work.

Looking forward to discussing with all of you.
K

Hello Kuttosenator,
Welcome aboard. Have you submitted your application or just started with the EE profile ?
Hey,

I've submitted my EE application. Here is the timeline:

Category: CEC Inland
App Submitted: 17 Feb 2016
AOR: 17 Feb 2016
Medical Done: 27 January 2016
Medical Passed: 1 March 2016
Background Check: Not Needed at this time

I'm not too hopeful of PPR via EE but decided to give it a shot because it takes <=6 months (in most cases). My problem is with the NOC I have chosen - there was no NOC close to what I do (I am into data analytics). So I had to choose the nearest NOC and tailor my responsibilities around that :p

Why do you think that you won't get PPR? If you qualify then there shouldn't be any problem with that. I had the option to apply for some PNPs but decided not to as it takes a lot of time and money. Plus a lot more paperwork. I wanted to keep my application as simple as possible.

Haha thanks for the encouragement :D

Yup - you're right about the effort, time and money. It took more than a month and a half to get hold of all the documentation I needed to get the PNP nomination. But my case was slightly different - therefore I couldn't entirely rely on EE for PR.
