I'm not sure what you mean by the ones affected by covid-19. People are affected by covid-19 differently.
I meant those ones who couldn't work since April due to reduced hours of operation and couldn't complete 52 weeks but are still employed with the same employer.

There are two scenarios:
- If they are still employed and are currently working with reduced hours, they have to continue until they have enough 1-year exp.
- If they are temporarily laid off due to covid-19 and dont have enough 1-year exp yet, they will have to wait to get back to work and complete their 1-year exp. At the moment, as far as I know, there is no other way around.

you don't need UCI to do upfront medical. But if you do, use the UCI on your visa and work permit. The one in EE is temporary.
Thanks! Do we need to submit our birth certificate with the application? For Me and my spouse? We don't have a kid just we 2 people. Confused should we give birth certificate or not!

No. There is no need to submit the birth certificate.

Hey guys,
I'm writing my letter of explanation here, but I realised that there isn't anything to explain. I mean, it's a simple application and there is no missing documents.
What should I write in this case?

LOE is optional. You don't' have to get one if you don't need to.

Hi all,
in my ITA, it says I have 60 days to submit all the documents. But it also says that I have to upload everything by 2020/07/31 which indicates 90 days term. Anybody have the same statements? Does anyone know which one is correct?

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the support in answering my queries. I'm confused about my NOC code. Just to give you a background, I'm a civil engineering graduate working as an "Operations Research Engineer" for Machine learning-based transportation data company. I used Computer and Information Systems Manager (O213), since we're a software company. Can you review the duties below from my employer :
• Analyzing critical vehicle conflicts, installing traffic devices on-site, fielding traffic data collection, manual data verification, producing conflict reports for
individual traffic safety studies and road safety network screening
• Overseeing control of the data processing software while conducting a continuous learning feedback mechanism
• Plan, coordinate, and organize daily activities of the operations department to maintain tight quality assurance quality control measures
• Developing tight procedures for implementation of traffic analytic processing within the software development life cycle to improve software efficiency and effectiveness
• Analyze and correct sources of process error to further contribute to the design optimization of the software
• Supervise and manage teams of entry-level programmers, process research analysts, and software operator technicians
• Provide engineering-grade start-to-finish expertise to yield analytics and produce traffic diagnostic reports with data integrity
• Achieving financial operating margins per report and controlling expenditures of the operations department
• Meeting client requirements, specifications, and timelines while ensuring clients are left with a high-quality report
• Document processes and procedures for software testing, effective collaboration, and communication

Computer and Information Systems Manager (O213) group performs some or all of the following duties:

Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP) departments and companies
Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems development and operations
Meet with clients to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
Assemble and manage teams of information systems personnel to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems
Control the budget and expenditures of the department, company or project
Recruit and supervise computer analysts, engineers, programmers, technicians and other personnel and oversee their professional development and training.

I'm confused if this NOC code will help or not, even though duties outlined in my job letter matches some what close to NOC listed duties. But I'm not a computer science graduate. Anyway I'm thinking to include LOE to explain my concerns to VO, is that an good idea? Or there are another NOC you can think of, i.e Engineering Manager, Facilities Operations and Manager?

My ITA is the same. I guess 60 days is from the old version of ITA. Everyone has 90 days to submit their application due to Covid-19. Just try to submit a complete application as soon as possible to get peace of mind.

Hi All,
I'm going to tell my story and I would like to know if I'm going to have problems with my process or not.

I apply to the Express Entry as the principal applicant (since I've already got the 1 year Canadian Exp. under a NOC A, so I can go for the CEC), and my wife is together as the second applicant. My wife contributed with her Master's degree and we get 474 points.

We got the ITA on March 26 under the CEC stream.

Here are the questions:

Is there any problem if my Wife is in my home country? During the application, I have to state her Infos and so the home address. I've read in another forum that I can't apply to CEC if my wife is not in Canada with me.

Since I'm with my wife in the process (since the beginning), do I have to provide Proof of Funds?

We already submitted everything, upfront medicals (she has done the medicals in Brazil with a physician approved by the CIC ), paid the fees required, and received the AOR on May 11th.

I'm afraid we messed up pretty bad with this...
Please, can someone care to explain to me if there's a problem?

Thank you.

I know right? But still I'm freaking out because my wife is still in Brazil. She has a Canadian tourist visa (She visited me last year), but since she's in Brazil and I'm here in Canada I don't know if we messed up.

I did not find anything in the CIC website regarding the fact that Me (principal applicant of CEC), and my wife needs to be in Canada to be eligible.

Hi everyone,
Please I need help in clarifying 2 disturbing issue.
1) On my pre ITA,I added work experience for my spouse who is outside Canada and didn't get any point for it.now on my document checklist post ITA,its requesting for employment documents for my spouse.
I was thinking to go back to the questionaire and remove his work experience and put it under personal activity but then will that be a problem when an information pre ita now changes post ita.
2) my first daughter who is 5 years old was born blind in one ever while the other eye is perfectly fine. She did her medical today with my husband and he said they only asked questions abt the eye thats not functioning and nothing much was done to confirm the other one works fine.
Will that pose any problem to our application as i am beginning to be paranoid.
Thanks

If anyone trying for PCC who didn't start via BLS consider sending directly to Indian Consulate via Canada post(92$). I send the docs to the consulate directly on April 22 and Got back my PCC by April 28.

Note: I am not sure about the current condition of the consulate whether they are taking applications like this or not. But I got PCC as the timeline i mentioned above. Please verify it with others also.

I went to Indian Consulate on April 22 without knowing the consulate is closed. But fortunately, I found some people who are in my situation on the ground floor of the same building. Those people told me there is another option by sending via Canadapost. There is a convenience store below the Indian consulate near to no-frills I remember( provided Gmap link below). Either you can bring all the documents( Copies) as per Indian consulate directions(provided below) or you can bring all originals there and take copies from the convenience store. If you take copies from them they will guide you because they are getting paid. If you have all the documents ready to send, tell the convenience store people, you need to send PCC to Indian consulate, They gonna give a money draft(92$), 2 Envelopes ( 1 to send to the consulate and others to send back PCC to you). Fill the details like from and to in the envelope you are sending. Put all the documents in the bigger envelope, including money draft and 2nd envelope. Finally, they gonna give 2 tracking numbers. Using 1st tracking number you will know whether docs reached there and 2nd tracking number will be active when they send back PCC to you. For me, the envelope reached consulate the next day I send and got back PCC in a week.

Documents Required ( Only Copies Required)

I. Requirements to submit an application at the Consulate General of India, Toronto:

  • -Fill in the application form-https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in/.
  • -Original passport of the applicant.
  • -Current Indian passport with a copy of legal status in Canada ( PR Card/Work Permit/Student Permit/ Visitor Record etc.) or Canadian passport in original and photocopy.
  • Note: For PR card issued without the category on the back, please submit the original and photocopy of the PR card and landing paper.
  • -A copy of the first and last page of the current passport.
  • -A copy of the landing paper.
  • -A copy of proof of address (copy of the driving license or any other government-issued address proof).
  • A fee of C$92/- can be paid through debit card/bank draft/money order (drawn in favor of " Consulate General of India")
Thanks for the information , Really helpful.
