Yesterday
We got PPR for Outland dependent.
But still principle applicant did not get portal email.
is this normal or should I contact someone.

Hi, Yes, I did through Attorney on 27th Nov. Awaiting decision.

Doesn't make any sense to email them. Even if they send you a portal email, it will be "virtual". Nothing will happen to it until your case will be approved and you will get an original portal email.

So as i previously posted here out of desperation i emailed portal. They emailed me back with a portal email etc. and i did submit it right away. But when I follow up on them and asked them what is going on, they finally got back to me this week and told me my application is still in process... so i believe the portal email to me was a MISTAKE and now I have to wait for the final decision on my application and wait for another PORTAL email. It has been 3 months now since I submitted my ADR and my application has no ghost update since. Application is running 5 months in total since AOR, I have a feeling this will take longer than their usual processing time which is VERY frustrating, but trying my best to learn not to care anymore.

Applied for BOWP - hopefully it will get approve soon, so we can go in and out of Canada.

Do you know someone who had more than 6 months of waiting for CEC?

Medical passed-28 September
Bio request- 28 September
Bio submitted-29 September
Dependent bio submitted- 1 October
2 ghost updates- 23 December
Portal 1- 28 December
Portal credentials-29 December/ uploaded same day
COPR-12 January
I hope everyone get their PR really soon.

Looking at responses from couple of others in the group on the BOWP processing times, I don't think we can hear anything before 3-4 months.

we are planning to travel out of Canada but very uncertain about all this PR application thing.

I have seen in some previous post that BG status goes from We are processing background check ->Application is in process
Which most of person consider as Positive Sign means your file is making progress; Final result soon.

Does anyone know what this "assessment" means ?
