If stated you are in Canada, you need to get eCOPR here. As soon as you got landed, you are good to go. But keep in mind you will need another visa to go back.

To your second question,
Yes, R10 was completeness check was done in Sept 22(Medical, Biometric passed). After that a Case analyst did assessment of eligibility, criminality and info sharing on October 22nd, (Criminality and Info sharing - completed). Particularly, he assessed all the docs for eligiblity work experience, Study and Language, Same on spouse side. And marked all assessed and checked Further marked A11.2 appears met , R87.1 Appears met.

But he did not pass the eligibility, instead put an remark for a particular document like "Marriage Certificate-Please review Document".

Security- Not started - This is because that's the last step and I guess its only done after eligibility is fully passed. i.e (After officer reviews my Marriage Certi doc that's been flagged by Case Analyst)

And that's it this was all done on 22nd October. After that no update from officer.

However I received a Ghost update on 6th December, so I assume maybe it was something related to the review of my flagged doc. or Security pass.

Thank you for the update. I looked at your comments and I see you got a GU on the 22nd of October, which now makes sense, and is reassuring that a GU actually correlates to an update in your file. Hopefully, that second GU means you're close. I'm quite interested to see what my notes say, I haven't received an update since my medicals passed. I'm praying that my file has been looked at since then.

I emailed on same email id for ecopr today and they said your application is in progress and has not been finalized.
I don’t know what is going on.

Medical & Biometric updated: 16 Sep 2021 After that no update.

Today, Got from MP inquiry:
  • Medical Pass
  • Security verification passed
  • Criminality verification passed
  • File assigned to Montreal office on Sep 22, 2021, due to statutory questions
  • Eligibility under review
  • Background verification Passed.
My wife has one previous refusal on SOWP in March 2021 (Applied in Sep 2020) and another application of SOWP is in progress from April 2021.No update so far only medical updated. Same I mentioned in PR statutory questions.

Any thought what it means “File assigned to Montreal office on Sep 22, 2021, due to statutory questions”.

I and my wife are living apart for the last 1.5 years due to visa issues.

Hi Nishant

My application has somewhat similar case like yours. Was you file transferred in Sept ?

If yes, its just that during that period they had work load distribution so they might have decided for any stat. questions selected "YES" file will be transferred to Montreal.

However its not case with everyone. My Stat question is also "YES" due to previous express entry file "cancelled as incomplete" and my file is processing at Edmonton VO.

Don't worry once a officer opens your file everything will move and you will get decision soon. I would suggest order GCMS notes just to look at eligibility review that has been flagged by Case analyst. This will give you pretty good idea if anything concerns on eligibility point of view.

At last I would say, just be positive , you guys are almost there. Me & my spouse are also in the same boat with 2 yrs long distance and its frustrating. But , for sure compare to lifetime of togetherness this waiting period is like nothing.
