I would think you should be good to go to outside Canada provided you have a valid visa stamp on your passport and valid temp. status document (workpermit) to return to Canada.
If you get portal email while you are out of Canada, you can reply with your tentative date of return to Canada and inform ircc once you are inland again for them to issue you a copr.
This is just from my understanding.

Hello Everyone,

my first post in this thread, i have been following this chain for very long and it kept us sane during this whole time.

principal applicant is my husband and i am dependent( inland)
AOR: 25 August
Medical passed: 24 Sep

Just today we got update in our application and there it was mentioned “We are processing your background check we will send a message If we need more information “

so my question from everyone’s experience is how long does it take them for background check? Any responses would be really helpful

Received a letter on Nov 25 to provide details on intent to stay outside of Quebec. I am currently living in india and appreciate if anyone can share the template of response letter which has been accepted by IRCC recently.

@penn302 . thanks for your response....Yes , Procedural fairness letter. I do not have any job offer /lease agreement. However. I have a friend who can help with address to update with bank and mobile connection. Caveat is , I have 7 days to respond but the stmt and billing cycle are not inline and cannot generate a stmt with updated address. Bank requires me to be in person to get a letter with updated address and its impossible since I live outside of canada.
