So close....exciting to see similar AOR (mine is Aug 4) getting GU. I don't know if my Background has changed during my previous GU (currently says "We are processing your background check...), but I also have old medical which delayed when it was updated (Sept 30).

I haven't had any updates since medical passed...hopefully this week!

Good luck too! I'm sure you will receive COPR soon as well

Just got an update today cic requested for new medicals. Submitted my old medical from 2017 but apparently cannot be used anymore.
Were you outside Canada for long time? like 6 months or so in last year? OR was you last medical was based on EDE category?

Sorry to ask so many questions.

Yes you can. I just hope the agent reviewing it is aware of the temp policy regrding that. Mine got denied and then reconsiderd
Whats your status pal? Current status on CEC? I remember you have AoR on Aug 5th.

FYI... My AoR is Sept 26th, so far from consideration.

BTW, there could have been issues which could have lead to CIC asking him for a new medical... like he or his spouse lived out of Canada in last 1 year.

Actually, it makes me wonder if I should have attached a copy of Public Policy and my Medical coding that I got from GCMS notes.

Nope.

nope I was never outside canada for more than 6 months. What is EDE category? I did my medical exam before for an IEC application back in 2017.

EDE means excess demand exempt. Its usually for spouse immigration.

Its strange that they are demanding new medical from you :

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...igration-medical-examination-requirement.html

Here is the eligibility :

A foreign national (principal applicant):

  • Has submitted an application to become a permanent resident or for a permanent residence visa and is physically present in Canada;
  • Has submitted to an Immigration Medical Examination within five years prior to the coming into effect of this temporary public policy;
  • The Department has a record of that Immigration Medical Examination, and the most recent examination submitted to was assessed and coded as:
    1. M1: indicating they pose no danger to public health and public safety;
    2. M3 (except where they have been assessed and coded as “TR only” or “EDE only”): indicating they have a health condition present but are not expected to place an excessive demand on health or social services; or
    3. M2 or M2/3 (except where they have been assessed and coded as “TR only” or “EDE only”): indicating they are a potential risk to public health, but they have complied with their requirement to report to provincial/territorial health authorities for medical surveillance; and
  • Has not resided or stayed for a total period in excess of six months in an area that the Minister determines has a higher incidence of serious communicable disease than Canada (i.e., identified on IRCC’s tuberculosis designated country and territory list available on the IRCC Web site) within the year prior to the coming into effect of this temporary public policy.
So you need to be :

1. Coded as M1 in your past application in IEC. Assessed for "all" and NOT "TR only" or "EDE only". Did you need to do any furtherance during that exam?
2. Total less than 6 months of stay in area with serious communicable disease.

I got GCMS notes of my past application and it says M1 and assessed for "All".

I know. It’s really strange. Since I moved here in 2017 I only left Canada for a short vacation once in the end of December 2020 and came back after 3 weeks like around January 2021. Then never left since. Plus my application is CEC and not sponsoring anyone else.

Weird. Call IRCC and talk to one of their agent. It helped other folks in the situation of rejected application.

BTW, if it you can, can you put the letter/communication you got from IRCC here? I wanted to see the language.
You can cut paste text and remove portions that identify you.

I have heard that IRCC has suspended the drawing in CEC pool since the target of this year has been finished. IRCC will focus on the CEC applications before September and complete these application before the end of this year. It seems a good news for us. Hope every guys can get the COPR in this year.
