At least this issue is getting some attention, but check out the comments section--anti-immigrant sentiment is alive and well in Canada it seems.

Read any Yahoo article about immigration. The comments are full of anti-immigration sentiment with a sprinkle of racism.

I read a few comments. people are not on the same boat always say negative things. Easy for them to say such things. Only would they put their family in our situation.

The dominant sentiment seems to be that immigrants have a sense of "entitlement." We are not allowed to complain about how long the processing time are, the fact that we are left in limbo for months or years, or that there appears to be little transparency regarding who gets subjected to further investigation and who doesn't. As immigrants, we are just expected to take it and shut up.
