CASE SPECIFIC ENQUIRY CHC ND!!!

Dear All,

When we send a case specific enquiry

a> If I am enquiring about a Case Specific enquiry as to when my passport is going to returned with the visa,as I have ssent mine on the 14th of Jan, what is the normal letter format to use ????

if anyone who has sent a case specific enquiry for the same can share their opinion, and their format, it would be lovely.

b> As I am using an immi consultant, will the CHC ND reply to my consultant or me, if I send the case specific enquiry???

c> I have heard at times that it is not advisable to send a case specific enquiry as the CHC might think that we are doubting their effeciency. Is this true?

d> In my my case specific, they had asked for an explanation with a letter dated 9th feb, reply to which reached CHC ND on 25 Feb.
Passport is lying at CHC ND from 14th Jan. Should I wait longer before sending the case specific enquiry????

Following was the case specific query I sent on 23rd Feb-2010

Hi,
I would like to check on the status of my file -Client ID- B055837106. I had completed the additional medical (request dated 29th Dec-09 received on 5th Jan-10) .on the 6th Jan'10 and the results of the medicals were sent by Dr Tushar Medhakers clinic on the 7th Jan '10. Passports and RPRF fees were sent on 16th Dec'09. Request your help in understanding the status of my Application.

Hi Avi,

a) No format is needed. Just give the details & raise a query of the PPs return timeframe. PM has otherwise provided a valuable example.

b) Usually if your consultant's email is on your apps, the CHC will reply on that address. However, whlie raising a 'case specific' enquiry thru the 'web form', CHC may respond back to the same ID.

c) Not true. How can an email requesting an individual's update become harmful? Ppl email them all the time... moreso, when their case is at the fag-end leading to desperation. CHC understands our pangs.

d) Usualy CHCs take around 4 weeks to stamp the visas. U have sent your addnl. docs on 25/2/10. I think u should wait at least 30 days before shooting any mail. -Just my opinion.

a. No standard format.
b. To your consultant. Please ask your consultant to send the inquiry. Since CHC will not reply to multiple emails.
c. Not at all true.
d. Wait till March end I know its too long to wait but wait and if not reply then ask your consultant to send Case inquiry.

What ever email address is written in your forms, it is better communication is sent via that email only and replies will be sent to that email only. But while sending a case specific inquiry, they ask you to confirm the email so you can try but I will not advise you to do so.

If there is no update in my case even next week ( by 23.03.10 ) , should I be sending a case specific enquiry then ???? My additional docs requested by the CHC ND reached on 25.02.10.

Dear Avish,

Don't get panic. Give sufficient time to the CHC. As advised in earlier posts, send case specific inquiry next week. There is nothing -ve in it. they will respond to the e-mail id from which you sent the inquiry. Not to consultant. I hope you will definitely get the visa by next week. All the best.
