The average processing time is 20 months. In Prutus'case it took exactly 20 months in my case counting from the AOR date March 15 2013 it took 14 months, bear in mind that I came here (Montreal) and found a job as a temporary resident, this might have helped and my canadian wife lives here as well as my daughter. All this is to tell you this, keep on going on your life whatever you are doing there as the process takes place. No one can tell you when you will get ppr, the face that you received the medical request, rprf and so on do not indicate anything this is the normal processing time line that occurs to almost everyone. After you received all these stuffs, you will enter that long period of silence before they ask you to update your information and send the FBI police certificate. Be patient, and again forget about this and get busy you will have better sleep.

Hello, I think you can checkout the data.gc.ca site. Unfortunately, this page is not letting me post a link or anything. So far what I gathered there is that some cases (20%) are wrapped up within 8 months and by the 20 months timeline 80 percent of the cases filed within the 12 month period are concluded. From what I have read in other discussions it looks like timeline is affected by the number of people on the file (dependents etc) if they have to do checks on them too, number of countries in which u have lived,they will need to do checks for those countries as well. I am a december 2013 applicant. My nerves are already fried and I seem to have a thousand miles to go.

This is not a ppr yet, probably the passport you submited has expired or is very close to expiration date (< 6 months). Scan your passport then send it to them as soon as possible. A PPR come with the following subject line in the email: Ready fro visa. I think you are very close.

My passport was supposed to expire in 07/2013 but I extended it to 09/2015. I submitted my application on 05/23/2014, I guess, as you said, they are just trying to make sure my passport is still valid, or if I have a new one.
I sent my scanned passport today by email.
