Case Processing office in Chennai

Hi ,

Does anyone know if there is a case processing office in Chennai ? ( Not VFS ) . I have applied for my mother in law's visitor visa and i am not sure where it is getting processed. It has been 10 days and we have not got a request for the passport ( We did the application online )

have heard they have an office in chennai but i could not find them online .

What you have heard is incorrect.....there is no visa office/CPC in Chennai. How would it help if there is a visa office in Chennai?

You'll have to wait for a decision as it's been only 10 days.... you'll get a passport request if your mother-in-law is approved

The processing time depends on the processing center . For example , the historical values on the site says its 9 for delhi , 23 for chandigarh and 14 for bangalore. The person who told me there is a processing center in chennai also told me it takes 7 days on an average to get it processed.

If you believe there is a CPC in Chennai then you'll have to find a way to contact them. None of us can help.

Even CIC does not seem to know about a CPC in Chennai (it's not even listed on the CIC website)

a CPC will be listed once they have processed 10 applications on that center .and the list on CIC was last updated in the month of July .

Do we have any other latest information listed on the CIC ?

Does it take 10 applications for a "center" to get listed as a visa office/CPC? That's something new. Anyway

I am only aware of a Canadian Trade Office in Chennai.... and I am pretty sure it does NOT process TRVs.

Do post any credible information you may have on the *new Chennai visa office*

Sure. i am trying to get hold of the person who told me about the visa office in chennai . once i get a proof saying the visa says the processing center is chennai , i will be sure of that . and once am sure , i can then post it here and then get an average processing time for that center .

As you are not aware..... there is no information as to where online TRV applications are processed in India. Also, the Bangalore visa office already processes a very large volume of TRV applications (all south India states, Maharashtra and Gujarat).

Unless CIC posts information about a new visa office in Chennai, *information* from any other *sources* cannot be taken seriously

You can continue to believe there's a visa office in Chennai. If such a visa office exists, it will get listed on the CIC website/in the news

Your questions have been answered on this forum.... in fact, I had answered your questions some months back too about improving the chances of your MIL getting a TRV.

The short answer again for a Chennai visa office: No

cannot believe this has become an argument . i was not being impatient here. i was given an information and wanted to confirm the credibility of that information .
