Hi ,

I have applied for skilled worker category but once i have applied there is dispute with my wife and we decided to get separated. after some time i got letter from Canadian high commission Delhi regarding medical examination. I reply with explanation of my current marital status with affidavit of separation. I mention regarding my petition for divorce certificate to civil court and ask some time to present notarized divorce certificate. After another 6 months I received letter saying submit your divorce certificate to continue your application process. Not the problem is I have not received divorce certificate yer due to delay in legal government process it might take proximately 6 more moths. What should I do now ? I am very disparate about going to Canada do not want to mess up with my application.. Please help me out

Thanks Sonal

Delay in legal matter/ process is what I understand but not legal government process, nothing is called legal government.
In India if you are talking about a divorce where the other spouse contests then even 6 years is less for the final decision. District Judge - High Court - Supreme Court, petition, appeals, revisions, lawyers on strike, absent judge etc etc and it is never ending.
If it is mutual consent divorce then it take 6 months only for the decision and no more.
You can send request for seeking 6 months more but I dont think after that VO will give you more time.
