Case being processed but cannot be linked/found on ECAS, is this normal?

Hello everyone,

I submitted my application online in Nov. 2021.

Yesterday I received an email notifying me to update my forms and police certificate, which I sent to IRCC via webform on the same day.

In the email my application number starts with G rather than XG, which indicates it is being processed. However, I cannot see my application status on the ECAS website, when I called the hotline, it says "we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements" "we are processing your background check" nothing else is currently needed from me.

Is this normal? What should I do to link it to my GCKey?

Still no email and ECAS, the phone system for some reason only allows checks for express entry now.
