Carway Border - Flagpoling from Alberta

Hi,

Does anybody know if it is legal to do flag poling for PR at Carway? I have read that it might affect us entering US later as you are give a refusal to enter in US slip.

Is there a way, we can do landing formalities in Calgary or Edmonton?

Hi

The administrative refusal given at the US border is not a real refusal and will have no effect on entering the US in future.

Is Carway the best border crossing from Calgary or should I go to Coutts border?

Hi guys,

I received my parents passport with Visa last week. Yesterday I called the call centre to book an appointment to complete the landing formalities at CIC office in Calgary. Call centre told me that the processing time in Calgary is 3 weeks. It was not an urgent request. After just 2 hours, I received an email from Calgary office and they gave me an appointment with in a week. That was quick. I think it is better than driving to the border for completing the COPR
