I got offer letter for Meng in Ece. I applied for may but my case was deferred to fall at carleton. As i wanted it for my backup. Now i am thinking it to join because i didn't get extension neither deferment from concordia university of edmonton for may intake. I had to report on 8th may, but my file is still under process in canadian embassy.

After 3 months my status directly changed from "Preliminary review required" to "Recommended for assessment".
Does anyone has any idea, how much time will it take from here to get the decision ?
I am afraid, if their decision comes late then I may not have enough time to get Visa. The current visa processing time at IRCC is showing close to 8 weeks / 2 months

When did you received? Is it conditional or unconditional offer?
Two weeks back, my status changed from Step-1 (Preliminary review required) to Step-3 (Recommended for assessment).
I was hoping that, in few days, it would move to Step-4 (Review in progress by Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs).
To my surprise, today what I see is that, it has gone back to Step-2 (Review in progress by department).

I received an offer of admission for MASc in Aerospace Engineering for fall 2018.
In the offer letter, the estimated first-year tuition (fall-winter only) is shown $15,964 - $19,404 CAD and it is also stated that students may be required to register in the summer term and will be subject to the appropriate tuition fee for that term.
I emailed them asking if I have to register for the summer term and pay 9000 CAD for it but they didn't give a clear answer.
Is there anyone who is currently studying in MASc program? I just need to know if I have to register for the summer term and pay 9000CAD for it.

For anybody to answer your queries they would need basic information, such as, your date of application submission, for which term have you applied, for which program have you applied, your education credentials, where are you from etc etc...hello guys .. Winter 2018 in other words would mean Jan' 2018, the session has already started. Did you meant to say Winter 2019 (Jan 2019) or Fall 2018 (Sep 2018) ?
Anyways, based on your previous post, your application is at step# 3 out of five step process. This means your application has some potential and was not rejected in screening process. It will move forward and in step# 4 it will be decided whether you are accepted into the program or not.
