I have applied to Research based program of Electrical and Computer Engg dept. at carleton university. My ststus is still "Preliminary Review required" though i have applied and submitted Application fees in 20 Feb 2015.

I emailed 1 - 2 professor at carleton Uni for supervision but no 1 relied to my email. My details are:

IELTS: 6.5 Overall with no component less than 6.5
GRE: NO
MS Communications CGPA: 3.7
BE Electronics CGPA: 3.2
Research Area: RF / Microwave Amplifiers design

I have checked the box if they do not offer me Admission with Scholarship for Ph.D. i will do MSc from the same dept. I hope i will get Admission with Scholarship.

According to ur status, application is not circulated to department for review.

Carleton takes time for application status..

I am having such expereince....My application was for 15 days for preliminary review required

Lets see whether i get Phd. Admission with Scholarship or not. My back up plan is Masters in Germany for which i have secured admission as well.

Of course it's good since your application successfully progressed to the next level. I am still stuck with "under review by department"
