guys, do you think it's OK to send the school an e-mail asking how long it's gonna take? I'm afraid they might find this insulting. but the time is too short! After getting the CONDITIONAL acceptance letter (IF I do), It takes another month for my school to send over the necessary paperwork, proving I actually studied there. This shortens my visa application time even more. I could, in said e-mail, ask them to push me for winter term to give me more time?

At the moment it's being "reviewed by department". Don't know if after they need to forward it to graduate affairs (overall master's jury, after being nominated by the master's I applied to).

Any opinions? If you were the school would an email like this sound bad to you? Like I'm pushing your hand? My boyfriend made a point: "you're paying - a LOT - for their services. They shouldn't be insulted as they leech a lot of money off of you. It's a business after all" opinions?

GREAT! that means there is a next step after "review by department". This is gonna take forever. So what do you think? Send or don't send mail asking? What did you do? also, you're applying for fall intake, right?

I applied in last week of February. Status changed from Review in progress by department to Recommended for assessment to this status right now.I didn't do anything to push my application. You can send a mail, its your right to know the status of your application.

I did the same. 22 Feb application date. OK, tomorrow is Friday and I don't suppose they work in the weekend. I will think about it during the weekend and e-mail them then.
