This has already been covered in quite a few posts. The rumour comes from people who were tricked by their employment agencies into going to work in Canada as caregivers but on a regular low skilled visa, not under the live in caregiver program. The employment agencies were doing this to get them to Canada faster since the regular work permit was faster than the live in caregiver program.

Live in caregivers who are under the live in caregiver program still qualify to apply for PR after 2 years but regular low skilled workers do not.

Your uncle must have family members (i.e. children) in Canada who are working and can pay for your salary and meet the minimum income cut off to hire a live in caregiver. Does he meet this requirement? You must have at least one year of full time paid work experience related to being a live in caregiver over the last three years - or you need to have at least six months of full time training that is related in the last three years. Do you meet this requirement?
