Does anyone know, in general, the career progression of a bank teller in Canada? Of course all employers are different and all employees are different and what not, but I just need to gain a vague understanding or the possibilities out there so as to speak. Does anyone know of anyone who is a bank teller, if so, what position did they occupy after that? Thanks in advance for stories and feedback.

Well one extreme example is Rick Waugh. He started as a bank teller in Winnipeg and is now the CEO of Scotiabank.

Hopefully others can share their personal experiences...

That's the best example scylla

Well, I know a friend of mine who started his career as a Bank Teller in TD Bank. He moved to RBC later and worked as an Investment Banker for recent years. He was 'Employee of the Year' for 2 consecutive years there. At present, he is acting as a Branch Manager in GTA. All these happened in last 8 years or so.
