I may have to return to the US short term if I don't get an extension while waiting on my PR and Work permit. I'm currently on implied status. I have a Canadian car but no car in the US anymore. Has anyone run into this before, can I just drive it back to the US for a short term stay (3-6 months)? Or do I have to import it to the US and then possibly back to Canada again? I really need to have a car if I have to go back and I'm trying to figure out how to make it work.

Can't get an extension on what?? If you are on implied status with your OWP app, you don't need extension for anything.

With an inland app in progress, you must be physically residing in Canada with your sponsor for duration of processing.

I’m saying if the PR application is rejected and I have to go back to the US.

I am on implied status as far as waiting on my work permit response

If you are worried about falling out of status, and your last status expired within the last 90 days then apply for a restoration of status while you wait for your OWP.

Unless you or your sponsor are found ineligible your PR app is not likely to fail. If it does, it will take much longer than 3 or 6 months for you to initiate and complete another depending on the reasons for denial.

Why would you think your PR app would be rejected?

They

asked for a schedule A and we submitted but I haven’t heard anything. They gave us a deadline of the 16th of Feb or the application would be rejected. As they haven’t acknowledged the submission I’m just a bit worried
