Hi all,

I'm just wondering. Is there any way to get a car loan if you are a temporary foreign workers?

This is my situation: 2.5 years in Canada, good credit score (according to my bank), applied in September for PR, already got file number and my BOWP expires in January 2016.

I've been to 5 dealers in Calgary. 2 of them told me that it's not possible to get a loan for more duration than my work permit. The other 3 refused to tell me without doing a credit application (which I don't want to do without being sure because apparently that may affect my credit score).

Any suggestion or experience regarding this topic?

Thanks.

I got my car Loan straight from TD bank at that time I was also TFW. They never asked me back them about my SIN#. They just needed my 2 recent paystubs.

Thanks akapoor for your answer.

I don't know what the banks see on me, but I had to fight even to get an insured credit card...

Let's see if one day I can go and ask.
