I was working in the Seattle for 1 year, and during my stay I bought a new car.

I got WA plates and insurance and I have a WA drivers license.

Since my contract expired, I returned to Canada and I imported my car last month.

I paid all the fees to the CBSA, but I still haven't registered my car in my province.

How much time do I have to register my car and what is the worst case scenario if I don't do it right away?

You have 3 months to register the vehicle, there is probably a fine if you don't

Thank you for the prompt response

Is that written anywhere?

I haven't found anything that states that.

Is your car covered by US insurance carrier after you imported it? Please check it once, ignore if you have already done so.

My understanding is US cars are covered in canada only if they are not imported. I might be wrong, but please check as you do not want to drive a car with out insurance here.
