CAQ -- Finances needed to apply?

Hi,

I want to know if we need to show financial documents at the time of applying CAQ? Also, on CAQ form its written, we need to have almost $16,000 for first year but Canadian Govt. estimates the expenses at $10,000. So much worth of GIC we need at the time of visa -- 10k or 16k ?

Hello.
Yes, it is mandatory to show your financial status. I proved that with the scholarship letter and my personal savings for covering that requirement, I used the same docs for the student visa.

While filling CAQ form, it shows that --

Step 7 - Financial information
"You are not required to provide information about your financial situation. Click on the "Next" button to continue"

Can anybody who applied for CAQ, please confirm if they sent financial documents? How? In paper mail? As in online application, you cannot fill this information.

Espcially for financial capacity did you sent orginal affidavits and letter? If yes, did you submitted attested phtotcopies of financial support for CIC Study permit?

Kindly help as I am really confused. It would be a great help if you provide Checklist of documents for CAQ(Original and Phtotcopies)

I am admitted in MSc its a two years program. So what dates should I fill in form Sept 2016 - Sept 2018?

I was like you... I wrote approximate dates, even for the study permit I did the same. My acceptation letter doesn't explain the exact dates.

I sent photocopies of everything... In fact, they say that you have to save the same documents for the study permit (like bank letters)

Caesar... Do you have a scholarship? if yes, I think that it is enough, but you must prove the money that they are asking. I have an scholarship and I sent both, scholarship letter and bank letters, these ones for proving that I have money at least for the airplane tickets and for "surviving" at least one month there.
