I apply on NOC 2173 , MY Application received 26 September , do i have any chance ??-Favour 35% Odd 65%
especially after CIC surprise today ???

Please advice-Quickly prepare another application under alternative NOCs of 2172 or 2281.
No record of yours will be kept with CIC and as such get another copy of your IELTS result and you should have extra copy
of your ECA report with newly completed forms and reference.

Along with other supporting documents,send this to CIC by next week Monday/Tuesday then you can be guaranteed of being
within the cap for either of these NOCs.

Warning:A lot of applicants that filed under 2174 are now taking this option,so there is huge influx of application being submitted.

There is no harm in trying again.Don't wait for EE as this will be highly competitive.But if you are outstanding experience,good CV
and international recognized certifications in your profession,EE will be ideal for you.

My NOC 2171 and application received on 27 Aug. Any chances I fall within CAP as this week CIC surprised all of us-FAVOUR 49% ODD 51% or I should start gearing up for EE 2015?-GREAT PLAN B Please advise-Start preparing for EE,SINP or NSNP all in JAN.2015.
EE is all about competition and you must have good CV/resume,great experience and Int'l recognized certifications please.
Note:Although,the favour is less than the odd you might be the luck 1000th applicants under this NOC.

Ksa - My Qn has nothing to do with SS. I am talking about actual CIC data. How can they jump 222 in a single week. Is it that they are not updating it properly or that the processing of documents are much faster now.

Anycase it doesnt make sense for the astronomical jump.

Sorry for interruption, but I'd like to share my point of view on this matter:
I noticed that some applicants of July got their application back due to lack of some necessary documents or forms, so we can assume that completeness check is currently being done on July applications. What I think is that they found many applicants of NOC2174 whose applications were received in late june or early July, and decided to update the cap to 1000 to say to all potential applicants "Do not send application for this NOC". Anyway as other said, if we witness charging or PER issuance for NOC 2174 applicants next week, then this hypothesis will be definitely true.

Dear Zahid,

I regret to inform you that you are not in cap buddy as for NOC last applicant who was charged is of 16th June and i believe that this NOC has hit the CAP maximum by this date. CIC is currently reviewing the applications of July or Aug so once they reach to your date they will send you file back with a letter notification of CAP reach, probably you will get your application back in another couple of months time.

Our NOC fsw2014 cap estimates in SS need to reviewed, in light of NOC 2174 outcomes.. Any predictive modeler / amongst us for the "CAP dates" for the following NOCs ? ...request prediction range to be within 2 days!

I have applied under the NOC 2174 (computer Programmers), my application reached Canada (Syndey office) August 26.
I want to know if there is any chance for me to recieve the AOR after the CAP Alert today in CIC site.

why did the cap increase more than 200 applicants this week? is that reasonable?

How we can know until which date were the applications for NOC 2174 processed? i meant the 1000 applications announced in the CIC.
Also, What is the number of the received applications (not processed) during august month? (since my application was filed and arrived Canada on 26 August).

To the best of my knowledge,within the cap were last week of June applicants & probably few lucky applicants if any in 1st week of July.
August applications were not among the 1,000 please.
You can still apply under alternative NOC under IT but you must be proactive please.
If not start preparing for EE,SINP & NSNP in Jan.2015
