Hi,

I am petrified that the 5000 places are going to fill up fast!

I think there is a good chance of the cap being reached in the first few days of reopening.

Do you guys share this thought or do you think it will take longer?

Would love to hear what you think to get a handle on the situation.

Thanks!

yes but as per NOC list it seems it will take @ 4-5months to reach CAP

guys, which occupations do you think will fill up first ?

I don't know but I'm a Medical Radiation Technologist and there's no way we'll get anywhere near a cap of 300 before the others max out.

In the 2011-2012 intake of 29 priority occupations, caps were reached in 14. These included family and specialist physicians, pharmacists, dentists, registered and licensed practical nurses, social workers and architects. Now that some of these are off the NOC list, perhaps it will free up places in other occupations. Kind of interesting.

I sent my degree by courier to WES today and went to my university who sent my transcript today. Can't do any more until CIC releases new forms!

NOC 1122 in 2011 was reached CAP in 1 week

some of them are general type means variety of applicant can file in that NOC but in general if we see total cap of 5000 may be filled within 4-5 months atleast

if you see 2010 20000 cap was not filled
even in 2011 10000 was reached almost after 11 months

considering this year due to not availibility of last year it may reach fast but though min 4-5 months it will take

this year in engineering NOCs even applicants are also less compare to management nocs and other which was in 38 and 29 occupation list were

Of course, many of those that were already tied up in pre-existing FSW applications will re-apply this time around because their applications were "terminated". The places may fill up much faster than you expect.

PLEASE VOTE FOR THE QUICKEST AND SLOWEST FILLING OCCUPATION COMES TO YOUR MIND.

Quickest 1112 Financial and investment analysts
Slowest 2113 Geoscientists and oceanographers

as per my opinion, lets see what happen

audiologist to b the slowest
any of the engineering nocs or financial analyst to b the fastest.
majority of financial analyst being CFA qualified will find it easy as they will not have to go through the accreditation process :)

Can anyone provide the time frame for previous years of FSW on how the applications received per occupation. like the one in the link below

http://www.canadavisa.com/total-number-of-federal-skilled-worker-applications-received-by-cic.html

And also does people with Phd and students from Canada include in the CAP of 5000 ? ?
