Cap full - Application sent

Dear all,

I have sent my application for 2174 computer programmer category, but the cap is now full. Do you have any idea of how many days will it be until my application will be returned as i would like to reapply through my husbands category i.e Network technician

Hello,
it depends on when exactly did you send your app. At the moment CIC is opening late-June apps.

You don't have to wait for it to come back, you can apply through your husband right now.

It will likely be more than 4 moths before your application is returned to you. If you wait for the application to be returned before you reapply, your husband's NOC will most certainly be full as well.

but their is one more problem I have sent the original IELTS reports with my application, can i send the copies of IELTS this time.

you can ask your test center for extra copy. tell them you need it for canada immigration ( they only provide extra copy for canada and australia immigration purpose). I have got 2 copies from test center.

Duplicate IELTS results ...that's one complicated thing. (nearly impossible as mentioned on IELTS site, duplicate Result cards will be sent directly to institution.

From which country are you applying? 10 Oct was too late for the NOC you have sent. You should have consulted with someone. Because they will go through your application in 2 to 3 months depending on how they treat Capped NOCs and by then Network Technician might be full.

In mean time, you should make your application ready so when you receive duplicate IELTS card, you send them on the same day.

Frankly speaking I would suggest you addressing this question to your IELTS testing center as I wouldn't want to give any misleading information to you. I have no personal experience in this issue but I rely what's stated on the IELTS official web site. I have also heard such stories from other applicants who had to retrieve a second copy for CIO. As far as I remember they printed out tracking information from the DHL/UPS/etc. and handed it to the IELTS testing center along with the scans of application forms they had made prior to having them sent to the CIO. They explained that the PER had not been received so far and it was understood.

Just contact your IELTS testing centner, tell them what you have in possession as a proof of application and see what they say and offer to you.
