Cap for NOC 2171

Hello,
Looked through the cic immigration Canada link on the 9 July 2014 and currently the number of completed applications counted towards the 1000 sub-cap is 28.

We are thinking of applying through the FSW route (we have the points). The cap is 1000 and currently they have 28 completed applications so it seems that we have lot's of time and chance, but I am not sure how behind the system is regards the true number of completed applications. We will be using a immigration lawyer to assist in completing the application etc, but if the cap is full then I do not want to waste my money.

My questions are:
1) Are we too late to submit the applications?
2) Does anyone know what the true figure is regards completed applications.

You can refer the Forum's Spreadsheet for an "estimated conservative figure".

On an average the updates by CIC are atleast 6 to 8 weeks behind.

Still based on the above variables your % of CAP filled will be roughly around 25 to 30% for your NOC.

Hi Nishesh,

Did i get it correctly? Does it means that still we have enough time to apply. Dont you think its late now?May 1st it started and CIC has published the application processed only till May 8th as of now. Also there might be a huge applications which may have receieved CIC and yet to get processed.

Let me know your suggestion here

May be; Might be; Could be; Would be; these are all speculations which you and me can make all day long.

Will be - that is something nobody can tell you.

Look at the CIC CAP Status and look at the Spreadsheet. Calculate your odds. Take your call.

Apps in this spreadsheet filed for this NOC: This is the figure representing the forum members who have added their details for 2014

Estimated total worldwide number of apps filed to CIC for this NOC by now: Total 414 - This is the statistical estimation of the application filed worldwide as on date.

You need to follow - Estimated total worldwide # of current apps which will be charged and counted towards NOC cap by CIC

I don't why people on these forums are assuming that the NOC 2281 cap will be filling up by October 2014 end Shocked The FSW 2014 spreadsheet that gets updated everyday shows that even the pessimistic estimate shows that the NOC 2281 cap will be available till around 22nd December,2014. So even though I am not saying everybody should be comfortable to apply till December 2014, I think it is unnecessary to panic for people that are waiting to send their application to CIC till end of November.I am not a senior member of this forum nor am I here to provide any suggestions but these are my views. Not sure HOW some people in this forum are assuming that the CAP will fill up by end of October 2014???


The above FSW 2014 spreadsheet hyperlink (you can google the link) says for even the "Pessimistic estimate" that the CAP will be open till ataleast December 22,2014. Consider this calculation. Even if CIC has consistently received 5 applications per day for NOC 2281 since May 1,2014 when the program opened, then in that case the total applications recieved as of October 1,2014 is 750. The FSW 2014 spreadsheet above shows around 1.44 applications added to NOC 2281 per day, I have taken pessimistic estimate of 5 APPS PER DAYAlso not all 750 of the above APPS I mention would have been rejected,lets say 100 got rejected. Still only 650 out of 1000 applications in this CAP are full. So I believe everybody should not panic that much, right???!

The CAP will most likely go beyond October.

Hi my application is received on May 26th under the NOC 2171 from Toronto.

Till now My CC is not charged. I checked in ECAS, it shows no file found. Does anyone have the same situation.

I have sent a mail to CIC on Sep 18th and there no reply till now. Any suggestions are much appreciated.
