Hi there,

My husband, who I am sponsoring, has always lived in Mexico city and is being asked for his job history since he was 18.
For a few years he worked in many various places in which he can't remember, and yet he can't leave a gap in the history.
Perhaps the Mexican government keeps a record of a persons job history? if so which department?
If not, how else can it be gotten?........and if he just can't remember, then what?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Make a guestimate on the dates. Can't be too hard to remember names of places.

How old is your husband? The form says 'since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent'. So if he is over 28, he doesn't have to put what he was doing when he was 18.

Edit: Never mind! Don't listen to what I said :)

Hi zimbub,
My husband also couldn't remember some dates. He has an aunt that works for social services in Mexico and she was able to pull up his complete work history since before he was 18. Of course, this didn't include jobs that were paid in cash. For any gaps in time, we simply put that he was unemployed and looking for work.
Also, even though the form says since the age of 18 or the last ten years, GO BACK TO AGE 18 no matter how old your husband is. Every single one of us applying through Mexico that only did the last 10 years was asked for everything missing since the age of 18 in our doc request which added more time to our wait. I second ksimental's recommendation. My wife from the US was also asked to go back to age 18. So was someone from the UK. So it is not just people from Mexico.

Thank you for clarifying! I apologise for giving wrong info, I'll change my post.

Thanks guys, after making another thread about the 18 vs 10 years history, it just got answered here. But the question here is actually more about where to get information about job history......for example in Canada I can just get a print out from the revenue service.
But I don't know where to get such a thing in mexico. and neither does he, even tho he's Mexican!

He has to remember or guess work

My husband's aunt works in the social security offices at IMSS in Mazatlan. That's where he got his info from.
Google says your hubby can go here: Reforma 476, Juárez, Cuauhtémoc, 06600 Ciudad de México, Distrito Federal, Mexico
