I can't check my application processing time. It says they couldnt find any record of my application. I sent it in the first week of October :s

Also the birthdate and place of birth it asks you to put in... is that me, the sponsor's name and birth or principal applicant's?

Thanks!

To check your status, go to the following link:

https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en

Follow the directions until you get to the page where you have to write in your information. If the sponsor is checking the status, put the details of the sponsor along with the Client ID number. If you don't have your Client ID number yet, use the Receipt Number which is the number on the receipt you should have gotten when you paid your fees at the beginning.

If the sponsored person is checking, fill in the details about the sponsored person and use the Immigration File Number. If you have not yet received your immigration file number (a number that starts with either B or F followed by 9 numbers) then check the status by using the info of the sponsor.

Hope this helps!

If you only sent your appliation the first week of October then you wont be able to check your application yet. Only when you have Spousal approval can you log into ECAS to check process.
Processing time for that is 69 days at the minute but it updates today and the time might go up.
Hope this helps :)

You've got a long ways to go before you'll see anything in ecas. Most of us in August can't see anything yet. As essex said, it's only after the sponsor portion is approved can you actually log in. Frustrating, but that is CIC for you.

so its 69 days from the day I sent it right? So if I sent it on October 1, then 69 days from that?

Since everyone sends their application in at different dates obviously does that mean its 69 days from the day each person sends it?

69 days from the time you sent it. Right now they are working on applications from August 2nd. See the following page for updates:

Isn't it 69 days from when they receive it, not when it is sent...?

The way to read that processing time for first stage is that, because it says, "69 days (working on applications received on August 2, 2011)," it means that every file that they received on August 2 or earlier should have been processed already. If you count from August 3 to October 12, which is the last update for that processing time, including weekends, it comes up to about 69 days. I know this length of time sucks alot. Before June, they were consistently getting through these in a month. Hang in there. What you can do in the meantime is to sign up for e-CAS tracker so that you don't have to feverishly check if you can access the not-very-useful-anyway e-CAS once the undertaking for your case gets approved.

Yes! Of course it is! (My bad.)
