Hello,
I would like an advice from all of you guys available here for help. If I am submitting a sponsorship application for my parents who has past history of cancer. Do you think they have a good chance of clearing their medical examination and getting PR status?
My parent has been in complete remission from past 2.5 years with all the reports being normal. I know in the past the applicants with past cancer history were medically inadmissible because of the very small amount (~$6300) available to meet the excessive demand threshold.
Since 2018 this threshold amount has been tripled so its around $20,000 per year to meet the excessive demand condition. Keeping the new cost in mind, do you think the application can be approved for people who are cancer free from past 2.5 years or it might still be considered medically inadmissible?
Also, if they still consider it medically inadmissible its most likely going to be based on the treatment costs of cancer here in Canada using government funding. Any idea how much it costs to get cancer treatment here in Ontario, Canada using the OHIP?
Not exactly sure how CIC processes applications where applications had a past history of cancer.
Any help or thoughts would be really appreciated. Plus, any information regarding recently approved cases (after 2018 with increased ) with similar medical issues would also be appreciated.
Looking for to your responses. Thanks!
