Cancelling our request - extending closed work permit

Hi,

So my application for permanent residency (via CEC) is getting close to the medical request stage, but we have decided that we will be moving to the US instead of staying here (personal reasons - husband is US citizen). How do I cancel the application? And if I cancel the application can my company still extend my current Canadian work permit (closed work permit) as we won't be able to move to the US before my current work permit ends.

And yes, you should be able to apply for an extension of your work permit, but you might need a new LMO.
