Hi All

I'm very frustrated with how CIC reviewed our application.

I got a cancellation letter now stating that I did not include my upfront medical results. However, when you submit your profile, it states that you can provide evidence of an appointment is you cannot do the test before you submit. I included our appointment confirmation from the doctor to our documents. Our appointments are scheduled for the 18th of November!

THis was also their response:
"Since your application is rejected, you are no longer a candidate for Express Entry and your Express
Entry profile number is no longer valid.
If you registered for the Government of Canada’s Job Bank, you should deactivate or remove your Job
Seeker profile from the Job Bank website. You should also remove any references that you are a
candidate for Express Entry from any private job board websites, if you used any. "

I got nominated from Nova Scotia. Does this now mean I lost my nomination?

Nowhere does it state where I can contact the people to ask them why the rule is not now applicable to me?

I understand this is frustrating. You have not lost your nomination (if it has not been expired yet, they are usually good for 6 month, you can find the date on your letter of nomination) You need to open a new express entry profile, contact the province with your new Express Entry number and tell them what happened. They will send you the nomination again to your new profile and once you accept it you will get the 600 points and will get the ITA soon after.

There is nothing for you to be worried about but this time make sure you have all the documents ready during the 60 days in your ITA phase.

Did you include a letter of explanation as to why you could not take the medicals until November 18? In CIC's eyes, the rule is only a last resort, or in medical cases, e.g. a pregnancy. If the clinic did not have an appointment until Nov. 18, you should have explained this was the soonest date you could get.

However if November 18 was still within the 60 days of your ITA, you should have waited to submit until you were done with your medicals.

But what's done is done, just go ahead and do what Innana has advised. I think you have a good shot of NS reinstating the nomination, just explain to them as well why you did not submit the medical at the start.

Cic mentioned that they would pay back the money we paid for the application.

Does anyone have an idea how long it takes? We still have not received the money.

I got ITA on Oct 19 and I got Medicals done by Oct 27 which they sent it via eMedical.

I still have to submit my application, which I'll do latest by Nov 19. I will upload the Acknowledgement Slip of Medicals Completed. I hope this wont be an issue with me
