Just got reply back from my friend(from Ukraine) and her visa got canceled

Got X for travel history and Purpose of visit.

Her travel history has been good. She has entered the EU many times with many different visas. So not sure why they would say that's not good enough for them.

Purpose of visit. I envited her to come for 2 weeks this summer.

What do I do now.

What changes can we possibly make for the consul to give her a visa.
What do I need to change? It's really upsetting.

What ties did she show to her home country? Proof of employment? Property ownership? Anything else?

Yes proof of employment she had paperwork from her job.

Property Ownership flat is in both her and mom's name...so she didn't have papers for that.

I'm still shocked about the Travel History. She had 3-4 EU visas and we actually thought that would help her. Like how is she now going to improve that. Which place does she need to travel now to?

Ok thanks.

But what kind of invitation letter do I send this time?
For example, in your first letter, you mentioned that your guest would be staying in your home for the whole 2 weeks. Now for the new invitation letter you can mention that you would be taking her to CN Tower and many more places for sightseeing for the 2 weeks trip.

Hi,

In some earlier posts you had mentioned that your girlfriend does not have adequate funds nor strong employment ties in Ukraine.... and you would consider marrying her to get her sponsorship process started if her TRV chances were slim.

By any chance did you refer to her as your 'fiancee' or show your 'intention to marry her' in your previous TRV application? Also did you provide evidence (for eg: photographs, emails) that could indicate that she is more than a friend? Just wondering if these could be the reasons why she was refused for 'Purpose of Visit'

Could you please share the list of documents that she/you submitted

Hi Bryanna.

No I never mentioned that she is My fiancee or anything like that.
Just that she is a friend and that's it.

we had a few pictures sent that had more then just the 2 of us in the photos.

She supplied 6 months of bank statements. Letter from her Job that she has approved 2 week vacation and job waiting for her to come back. Her passport with photos.

I supplied my T4 slip, letter from work with salary notorized invitation letter.

Hi,

Here are a few suggestions.... I hope it helps in getting her TRV

Purpose of Visit
If you can draw up a detailed day-by-day Itinerary showing places of interest/restaurants/visiting friends, etc.... with day-by-day detailed expense estimates (CAD). This document is different from your Invitation Letter

You can mention that accommodation/travel/living expenses will be taken care by you.... and support these expense estimates with proof of funds (from her - bank statements/Letter of Financial Support, etc) to finance the itinerary.... although you will pay for these in reality, she must show that she has the financial means to do so herself

Ties to Her Home Country
These could be:
a. Employment ties: Employment letter + 6 months salary slips + time off work letter + annual income tax returns for the last 2-3 years

b. Family: Do her parents live with her? Are they dependent on her - maybe financially or to take care of them? Does she pay for household expenses?

c. Property: Property ownership paper (her share with her mom's share) + property evaluation (either self evaluation ie with government value/market realty indicative prices or done by a Chartered Accountant + if there are no loans/mortgage then mention this fact + copies of latest property tax receipts

d. Financial Ties: Her bank statements + financial investments + pension funds (if any) + credit card (credit limits + statements + low credit outstanding + say she will carry these cards for her visit)

e. Any Social/Volunteering?

Did she book tickets? If yes, confirmed tickets?

Can she provide other compelling reasons to return to Ukraine by XX date..... for eg: a cousin's wedding or a company project?

Do prepare 'My Travel History' explanation..... scan the visas + in a table format, give the visa details, entry/exit stamp details, purpose of each visit.... I wouldn't count too much on a visa officer to go through a passport and figure the entry/exit details of visits

For Host documents:
Copies of your status in Canada + passport + T4+ NOA + bank statements + employment letter (do keep in mind that your documents are only 'supporting documents' and the focus would be on the documentation/evidence that she submits)

Hope this helps
