Canadian Work Experience not updated on EE profile

Hi All,

I just submitted my EE profile but when I checked my points, there are none under the Canadian work experience, or the transferability (one year of Canadian experience + post secondary program). I have indicated I worked in Canada from Sep 2014 until now with valid NOC code in the application, so I should have one full year of full time work experience by now. Does this happen to anyone of you, and does that get updated after a while?

It says "Job bank registration" is pending, but when I go to the website, There is no place to register any job though.

Any help will be appreciated!

Hi go to the website: seeker.Jobbank.GC.CA

Create a profile, register yourself and follow the steps. Once your Account is activated then your EE profile will be active.

Thanks! So I have to register for Job bank even if i am working in Canada right now? I just don't have a LMIA now. So after my job bank account is active they will start counting my work experience from the profile? This is a bit confusing to me....

Yes, unfortunately the EE system only considers a job offer 'valid' if it has an accompanying LMIA. That's the way it has to be done.

Thanks so much for the clarification! That being said, I don't need to have a LMIA to get points for the 1 year canadian work experience I gathered right? (40 points + 13 under transferability together with education)....as my point now is only 391 without the canadian work experience point updated...
