Canadian Work Experience Calc - Post ITA!

Hi All, Breaking my head for the below case. Need Help!

Facts:
1. ITA Date: 22 Feb 2017 (Eligible for CEC and FSW - But ITA got for CEC)
2. Canada Work Experience - full time work - reference letter mentions the same:
From: 11-Nov-2013 to 22-Aug-2014 (40 weeks 4 days or 6 months and 1 day)
From: 11-July-2016 to 13-Jan-2017 (26 weeks 4 days or 6 months and 3 days)

Question: For CEC, we need to have 1 year experience within last 3 years from the ITA date. Hence my experience in 2013 (Nov and Dec) would be expired. Even then, if I calculate for 3 years back from the ITA date (i.e. from Feb 22 2014 to Feb 22 2017), I am still having experience of 12 months 4 days. My question is:

1. Is my thinking w.r.t final experience calculation correct?
2. Is there any risk in moving ahead with the application?
3. Once ITA is received for CEC, do I still need to worry about dates? I have all the reference letters mentioning the dates.

I need to proceed with my application, kindly help me with this!!

In total you do have 12 months of experience. Although you can apply with these reference letters you would need to claim work experience in your profile from feb 22 2014 onwards. Also, in your LOE you can explain why you are counting the experience after feb 2014 i.e. because of the 3 year criteria.
Hope this helpds

Whew! talk about cutting it close! With exactly 52 weeks of work experience, you should be OK to apply. And yes, the ITA is the "lock-in date" for the experience.

3. Once ITA is received for CEC, do I still need to worry about dates? I have all the reference letters mentioning the dates.

Not entirely sure what your question is, but as long as the letters are dated at the top and were written after the end date of the work period, they should be OK.

Hi there,

I'm an international graduate (graduated from Canadian university) I have two years of work experience (one job and one company within Canada) my Job offer/occupation falls under NOC-0 when I calculated my score for Express Entry I'm getting like 465 but my IELTS over all band score is 6.0 (Listening 6.0 Speaking 6.5 Writing 6.5 and Reading 4.5)

As of March first week draw, the minimum score for invitation was 434, Is that okay that if I register for express entry with the above IELTS score?

I'm sure that I'll get an invitation if I register for it, but I'm worrying about the IELTS score. According to CIC, IELTS score must be 6.0 in all four components for NOC 0.

Please someone suggest me on this issue.

Thanks a lot!

You can try to register, but as you pointed out yourself, with those language scores you do not meet the minimum entry qualifications (assuming your NOC is level O), so your profile will probably not be accepted into the pool.

Unfortunately, you need to re-take the IELTs (or try the CELPIP instead), and improve your score to meet the program minimum requirements.

Yes, unfortunately, it is, if you were invited to apply under the CEC class. Your 3 year eligibility period would start on march 5, 2014 - and because you do not have one year of employment since then, you do not meet the minimum eligibility criteria.
(if this is the case, I am sorry, I hope you can find another way to qualify)

However, if you were invited under FSW, then your experience is valid.

Hi all

I have the question as to how does one get tagged as FSW candidate or CEC candidate in their Express Entry Profile?

If an applicant has 1 year of Canadian work Experience in the recent 36 months, will he/she be set into CEC?
Or is there any other prerequisites that need to be met for falling into CEC?

Thank you in advance.

If you are eligible for both, you will be invited to apply for CEC by default (this is a good thing, it is a much simpler application).

One year of skilled, authorized employment in Canada within the past 3 years is required.

Hi jes_ON,

Urgent query!

I was going to submit my e-APR but I have stumbled upon this:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/refuse.asp

So I am stuck with my initial question still. Is really ITA date the lock in date for experience?? They will recalculate from my e-APR date as well?

Need urgent help on this!
You MUST meet the minimum entry requirements at the time of the ITA (e.g. the one year of work experience).

For the purpose of CRS points ,they will calculate them at the time of the ITA AND at the time you submit your eAPR. As long as your CRS score is above the cutoff for your draw at either time, the ITA will be considered valid.
