I'm trying to apply for CEC but just realized it's started to lapse 37-38 months. How strict are they? Will I be declined? Has anyone else had this issue?

Extremely strict. You must have at least one year of work experience within the last 36 months.

My 'Skilled work' stopped in April 2018 and tree planted for the next 3 months (not skilled). Working in Aus as a Geologist now

Ah - I see. Then you're right up against the wire. If there's a CEC draw this week and you get ITA, then you might as well apply. If you're only a couple of days short you should be OK. Once you start being a week or more short things change. Do you have everything ready? Have you done IELTS, ECA, have all of your paperwork ready to apply?

No. It's NOC 8616 which is NOC D.

You should look into the PNP programs. One fo them might work out for you.

No - not necessarily. Each of the prograns is a bit different. You'll need to spend time looking into each one of them.

Can someone still use Canadian work experience acquired 5 years ago for FSW? I means if someone worked in Canada for a year, 5 years ago, can this experience be used as work experience to gain any points under FSW. I know to use it under CEC it has to be within last 3 years. If someone didn’t apply PR within 3 years, will that experience be useless?
